How The Reveal Works

The short version

The design is printed onto the fabric, then covered with a clear water-repellent layer. Dry, that layer looks like nothing. When sweat hits it, the treated areas repel moisture while the untreated fabric around them absorbs it and darkens. The contrast between wet and dry fabric is what you see.

What triggers it

Sweat, rain, or water. It needs genuine saturation, not humidity. A hard session will do it. A walk usually will not.

How fast

The reveal appears as the surrounding fabric saturates and fades as the garment dries. It is not permanent and it is not a one-time effect. It comes back every session.

What affects how clearly it shows

• How much you sweat. More saturation means sharper contrast.
• Lighting. Direct light shows the effect more clearly than dim rooms.
• Where you sweat. The design reveals where the fabric is wet, so it may appear in stages rather than all at once.

Does it wash out?

The treatment is rated for a minimum of 50 wash cycles. To get the full life out of it: wash cold, inside out, no fabric softener, no tumble dryer, and never iron directly over the print.

Is it safe on skin?

The coating sits on the outer face of the fabric and is non-toxic.
